Transcript [00:00] Hey everyone, it is Tuesday, February [00:02] 3rd, 2026, and this is an update on what [00:06] is going on with Iran. Never a dull [00:09] moment and what we uh So, let's have a [00:11] look at at the headlines. So, let's [00:15] start with President Trump. That's [00:16] always a good place to start. And here's [00:19] what he had to say. [00:20] >> We have ships heading to Iran right now. [00:22] Big ones, biggest and the best. And we [00:25] have uh talks going on with Iran. We'll [00:28] see how it all works out. [00:31] >> Yeah, we got big ships. We got talks [00:33] going on. We'll see how it all works [00:35] out. And Iran told the US it's ready to [00:38] suspend its nuclear program apparently [00:40] in those negotiations there. So, there [00:42] are apparently negotiations going on and [00:44] they've said that they're willing to [00:45] suspend their nuclear program, but it [00:48] will continue to develop their ballistic [00:49] missiles according to the New York [00:51] Times. And uh to calm the situation, [00:55] Iran is willing to shut down or suspend [00:58] its nuclear program. Considered a major [01:00] concession, but it would prefer a [01:02] proposal that the United States made [01:04] last year to create a regional [01:06] consortium to produce nuclear power. Two [01:10] Iranian officials tell the New York [01:12] Times. Secretary of Iran's National [01:14] Security Council Ali Larijani had met in [01:18] recent days with Vladimir Putin of [01:20] Russia with a message from Iran's [01:22] Supreme Leader uh uh that Iran could [01:25] agree to ship its enriched uranium to [01:28] Russia. Okay, now let's talk about this [01:31] for a moment. What you know what's so [01:33] wrong? Let's uh you know let's uh allow [01:36] an international consortium to create [01:38] nuclear power. After all, Iran claims [01:41] that it's that its nuclear [01:44] program is only for civilian use. So, [01:46] let's first of all talk about that. [01:48] Let's put that to rest because it is an [01:51] absolute lie. Let me explain. [01:53] Iran has vast natural gas reserves and [01:57] very [clears throat] [01:57] cheap electricity already. Yes, it does. [01:59] It has a terrible grid. It has terrible [02:01] infrastructure. But the problem is not [02:03] cost of electricity. So, a costly [02:06] nuclear program makes no sense if the [02:10] goal is just to get power. This was [02:13] outlined in a fantastic article done [02:15] months and months ago by Daniel [02:17] Greenfield. He's a Schillman fellow uh [02:19] at the Horowitz Freedom Center. You can [02:21] look it up at Front Page magazine. And [02:23] he goes on to explain there that Thran, [02:26] the Iranian regime has lost about a [02:29] trillion dollars, a trillion dollars as [02:32] a result of sanctions because of their [02:34] nuclear program because they stick to [02:37] it. And that is completely irrational. [02:39] If the goal is to save some money on [02:42] electricity, it they're losing way more [02:46] in the sanctions than they would gain. [02:49] Now, let's remember, they are an oil [02:50] producing nation. Why are they lacking [02:54] in energy? Why do they need nuclear [02:56] power? They're one of the biggest oil [02:57] producing nations in the world. If the [02:59] issue is that they don't have good [03:00] refineries and they don't have a good [03:01] infrastructure to get their oil turned [03:04] into the gas that they need to provide [03:07] energy for their people, that is it's [03:09] way cheaper to produce that [03:11] infrastructure than it is to suffer a [03:14] trillion dollars in sanctions because [03:17] you have a nuclear program that you [03:19] claim is to produce energy. again when [03:22] you are pumping oil every day. So [03:25] nuclear and and nuclear energy in fact [03:27] in Iran only contributes a tiny fraction [03:30] of Iran's electrical grid. The the [03:33] nuclear program is not about domestic [03:36] energy needs. Another evidence of that [03:39] is that the facilities the facilities [03:41] that were bombed by by the US by the B2 [03:44] bombers in the famous attack back in the [03:46] 12-day war, Operation Midnight Hammer, [03:49] Natans and Foro, they're built deep, [03:52] deep, deep underground. That is so [03:54] complicated and so expensive to do. Why [03:56] would you build these nuclear facilities [03:58] deep deep underground if they were for [04:01] benign civilian purposes? They're [04:02] obviously to protect potential weapons [04:05] related activities from attack. That's [04:07] why you build them deep underground. The [04:10] uh look, Iran disguises its military [04:13] objectives behind this civilian facade [04:16] of needing nuclear energy. And what [04:19] they're doing now in the negotiations by [04:21] saying that they're willing to suspend [04:22] the program uh but not the ballistic [04:25] missiles. what they're trying to do and [04:27] really what these friendly Arab [04:29] governments are trying to do is is just [04:33] delay tactics. They know that Trump is [04:35] not going to be in power forever and [04:37] they want to go back to the way things [04:38] were before, whether it was the [04:40] Republicans or the Democrats before [04:41] Trump. They just went about their [04:43] business moving forward on their nuclear [04:45] program and they had all these nice [04:47] negotiations with the Obama [04:48] administration. Let's go a little [04:50] further into this negotiation issue by [04:52] the way. So, wet u really pulled [04:55] together a lot of the different stories. [04:57] There's a big story in the Wall Street [04:58] Journal, a big story in in the New York [05:00] Times. And what we see here is that [05:03] there is going to be talks. There are [05:04] going to be talks next week that will be [05:07] held in Turkey apparently and Jared [05:10] Kushner and Steve Whitaf are going to be [05:12] involved in this. And President Masoud [05:15] Pesh Kyan said that he has authorized [05:18] preparations for negotiations following [05:20] requests from friendly governments in [05:23] the region to respond to a proposal by [05:26] US President Donald Trump. Okay? And he [05:29] wants these to be fair and just [05:31] negotiations. That's what he wants and [05:34] not to be done under threat. [05:37] Now, the most important section of this [05:39] piece here says as follows. Take a look. [05:41] One official said the disc that the [05:43] discussions could be divided into two [05:45] tracks. One focused on Iran's nuclear [05:48] program and another addressing a broader [05:51] set of issues including US demands for [05:54] limits on Iran's missile program. Major [05:58] differences remain particularly over [06:00] uranium enrichment and Iran's ballistic [06:02] missile capabilities. Despite those [06:05] gaps, both Trump and Iran's leadership [06:07] have expressed a willingness in recent [06:09] days to talk, opening what officials [06:11] describe as a narrow diplomatic window. [06:15] That comes as the United States [06:17] continues to position forces in the [06:18] region and as Trump has warned of a [06:21] possible strike if negotiations [06:23] collapse. [06:24] Obstacles remain significant. Iran has [06:27] told regional mediators it is prepared [06:29] to discuss only its nuclear program [06:31] while the United States is pressing for [06:33] wider talks that would also include [06:35] restrictions on Iran's missile program [06:37] and its support for allied groups across [06:40] the Middle East. That's the proxies, the [06:42] Houthis, [06:43] Hamas, etc. Tehran continues to reject [06:46] key US demands on the nuclear issue, [06:49] including halting the production of [06:50] enriched uranium and surrendering [06:52] existing stockpiles. Arab mediators said [06:55] Iran fears Washington may be using [06:57] diplomacy to buy time ahead of a [07:00] military attack. Okay. In recent days, [07:04] regional countries have launched an [07:06] intensified diplomatic effort to avert [07:08] war. Qatar's Prime Minister Muhammad bin [07:11] Abdul Rahman Alani made an unannounced [07:13] visit to Thran on Saturday. and Egyptian [07:16] president Elsisi also spoke with the [07:19] Iranian president [07:21] and they've uh and and they now have [07:23] this proposal drafted by Oman and Qatar. [07:27] Look, let's pull back the camera for a [07:30] second and talk about what we are [07:33] actually seeing here. Okay, [07:36] the look the Arab countries in the [07:40] region none of them are democracies. [07:43] None of them have freedom. [07:45] [clears throat] They play nice with the [07:47] West and make deals with the West, but [07:48] they're not really pro- West. I've said [07:51] this before. The last thing they want is [07:54] the Iranian regime to fall. [07:58] What don't they hate? The Iranian [07:59] regime? Of course they hate the Iranian [08:01] regime, but they don't want it to fall. [08:03] They want it to be weak, but they don't [08:06] want it to fall because if it falls, the [08:08] Iranian people are not like the people [08:10] in their countries, in Saudi Arabia, in [08:13] Syria, in Egypt, in all these Arab [08:15] countries, these Muslim countries. The [08:17] people are overwhelmingly Muslim, [08:19] Islamic, and there's all kinds of [08:21] Islamic factions, and they hate the [08:22] West. [08:24] The Iranian people are pro-western. [08:26] They're secular. They're educated. The [08:29] last thing that these Middle Eastern [08:32] despotic kingdoms need is a free [08:35] democratic westernstyle oil producing [08:39] massive nation in the middle of the [08:41] Middle East which they could they would [08:44] see as a potential destabilization of [08:47] their own countries because we'd have a [08:49] an a a a country moving away from Islam, [08:53] moving towards the West. There'd be [08:54] freedoms. There'd be prosperity shortly [08:56] after. And also strategically they would [08:59] become far less important to the west [09:02] than they are now. The reason the west [09:04] needs all these countries is because you [09:06] want to have a foothold. You want to [09:07] have some people you can work with in [09:08] the Middle East. Iran is the largest [09:10] land mass in the Middle East. It's a [09:12] very potentially wealthy country because [09:14] of all the resources. And if it would [09:16] become a pro-western democracy with its [09:18] 90 million uh inhabitants, [09:23] it's the largest most significant [09:24] country in the region. It would [09:25] undermine their entire structure. All [09:28] these these little kingdoms where [09:30] there's no democracy, it would undermine [09:32] them. They don't want the Iranian regime [09:34] to fall. That is what we are seeing [09:36] here, folks. That is why they are so [09:39] frantic, frantically trying to keep the [09:42] regime afloat. So, we're going to have [09:43] next week you're going to have these [09:45] talks that where you're going to have [09:48] Witoff and Kushner who are always [09:50] appeasing and they're always saying, [09:52] "Oh, everyone just wants to live a [09:53] better life." you know, you know, we [09:55] call him we call Whitaf naive Steve here [09:57] in Israel now. And they're going to get [09:59] together and they're going to try to [10:00] convince President Trump. There's going [10:02] to be a fullcourt press, the Turks, the [10:03] Egyptians, the uh you know, the Saudis, [10:06] everyone is going to be pressuring the [10:08] Qataris especially, they're going to be [10:10] pressuring the United States, pressuring [10:13] Trump not to attack and saying there's, [10:14] oh, there's a more peaceful way to do [10:16] this and and we'll get them to we'll get [10:18] them to stop the nuclear program and [10:20] we'll make some concessions. And it'll [10:22] be very similar to, oh, we're going to [10:24] get Hamas to disarm. Don't worry, we'll [10:26] take care of it. Well, you know, no one [10:28] really wants a war. We don't want [10:30] escalation. And that all sounds very [10:31] nice. The problem is that this leaves [10:34] the evil regime in power. And fact that [10:37] the regime wants to go back to what they [10:39] were negotiating back in June, that was [10:40] before they murdered tens of thousands [10:43] of their own people. So, I don't know [10:46] how this is going to work out. Can I say [10:48] for sure that President Trump is going [10:50] to hold firm and is going and we are [10:52] going to bring down the regime? I can't [10:53] say that. I don't know. No one knows [10:55] what's going to happen except him. I [10:56] talked about that in one of my earlier [10:57] videos that uh President Trump is [11:00] deliberately unpredictable. It's [11:02] something that he said going all the way [11:03] back to his first campaign. I played a [11:05] clip of that there. But things are still [11:08] quite tense and uh in the end of the day [11:12] if President Trump does not come to the [11:14] aid of the Iranian people, it will go [11:16] down in history as a uh as a terrible [11:19] betrayal after what he said. So that's [11:21] always hanging over all of these [11:24] negotiations and all of these talks. But [11:26] bear in mind, as much as the Shiites and [11:28] the Sunnis hate each other, as much as [11:30] the Iranian regime has terrorized the [11:32] other Arab countries in the region, [11:34] don't be fooled. They don't want the [11:36] Iranian regime to fall. They want it to [11:38] stay in power. They'd like it to be [11:40] weak. They're fine with it being weak, [11:41] but they do not want the Iranian regime [11:43] to fall. So, let's We're going to [11:45] continue to watch this very closely. [11:47] Please keep watching. Keep sharing. [11:50] Thank you so much all of you who are [11:51] watching for the growth of this channel. [11:53] Please share to everyone if you find [11:55] these videos helpful. And please make [11:57] sure to check out all the great video [11:58] content that we're putting up at the [12:01] Israel 365 YouTube channel. God bless.
