Transcript [00:00] Hey everybody, it is Wednesday, January [00:02] 21st, 2026, and the situation in Iran is [00:06] not calming down. I know it's not in the [00:08] news as much ever since the protests [00:11] were quelled by the martial law and the [00:13] mass murder of protesters by the regime [00:16] and President Trump seemingly backing [00:18] away from taking action on behalf of the [00:20] protesters after saying help is on the [00:22] way. More on that later in the video. [00:24] Make sure you stick around for some some [00:27] news about President Trump. But first, [00:29] let's take a look at what we're seeing. [00:31] This is reported yesterday on Fox News. [00:33] Iranian soldier sentenced to death for [00:37] refusing to fire on protesters during [00:39] nationwide unrest. Witnesses claimed [00:41] Javid Callis, that's his name, refused [00:44] to shoot in an act of humanity, [00:46] activists report. Now, the Iran Human [00:49] Rights Society has has reported this [00:53] and [00:54] and they've said that according to [00:55] informed sources, when faced with the [00:57] command to shoot at protesting people, [00:59] he refused to execute the order, leading [01:02] to his immediate arrest and the opening [01:04] of a case against him. He's now being [01:06] held in Isfahan prison and there is a [01:08] fear that he will be executed very soon [01:11] because the sentence comes at a time [01:13] when judiciary officials have openly [01:15] spoken of summary trials, meaning very [01:18] quick trials and the swift execution of [01:21] death sentences against those arrested [01:23] in the protest. In other words, they [01:24] want to deal with this very quickly. [01:26] They want this to [01:27] not only get rid of these protesters and [01:30] kill them, but they want it to be a [01:33] reign of terror. They want to strike [01:35] fear into anyone who would protest. So, [01:36] by carrying out these executions very [01:39] quickly, that enforces absolute [01:42] obedience. And this type of of refusal [01:47] to follow orders and people from within [01:51] the regime turning on the regime is [01:53] something that we're seeing more and [01:54] more of. Here is a chilling chilling [01:58] clip of a girl, a young woman who is the [02:02] daughter of a senior commander in the [02:04] regime forces phoning into a show, a [02:08] show in Persian that is a show of [02:11] dissidents, [02:13] Persian dissidents in the diaspora [02:15] talking about everything going on in [02:16] Iran, and she calls into the show to [02:19] talk about her life and and her [02:22] experiences living [02:24] as the daughter of one of the most [02:26] brutal commanders in the regime. Let's [02:28] watch the clip and then I have a few [02:30] things to say about it afterwards. [04:06] >> [laughter] [08:34] >> Okay, let me unpack what we just saw [08:36] there. [08:37] This So, she describes going to the [08:40] Massa protest. Now, what that's [08:42] referring to is Massa Amini was the name [08:44] of a young woman [08:46] a number of years back who was arrested [08:48] for not wearing a hijab and was killed, [08:51] was murdered in custody, and that led to [08:54] widespread protests across Iran, massive [08:57] protests. That was the last time there [08:58] were huge protests in Iran a few years [09:00] ago. And she's talking about an [09:01] experience of going to the Massa [09:03] protest, that she was near Massa, and [09:05] that she and a group of her friends, cuz [09:07] this protest had a lot of women in it [09:09] protesting against the hijabs, that they [09:11] were arrested and that she was released [09:14] because of who her father was, and her [09:16] friends were then raped in prison. She [09:20] also talks about the fact that [09:22] that living in her father's house, [09:25] there, you know, they're preparing their [09:27] escape. They have fake passports. They [09:29] have money in suitcases, and that they [09:31] try to get the whole family involved, [09:33] and she talks about the atrocities that [09:34] her father has committed. So, [09:37] you know, obviously, we have to praise [09:39] this young woman's courage, but we also [09:41] realize that there is a lot of dissent [09:44] within Iran. There's a There is a [09:46] There's a brutal group of people who who [09:50] who are killing other Iranians. They're [09:52] killing their own children, as she puts [09:54] it. Now, Now, me let me back up for a [09:56] second and give you a [09:58] a sense of how this all looks. Iran's a [10:00] huge country, 80 to 90 million people. [10:04] The Iranian regime think of it like a [10:07] political party. Think of it like in [10:08] China, the Chinese Communist Party. The [10:10] Iranian regime is about 150,000 people [10:14] plus their family. So, if you expand [10:16] 150,000 individuals who are members of [10:19] the regime, members of the IRGC [10:22] and include their families assuming [10:25] let's say five, six people to a family. [10:27] So, what we're talking about here is [10:29] probably around [10:31] three, four people to a million [10:33] people. [10:34] Maybe between half a million and a [10:36] million people who are really [10:39] who have an interest in the regime going [10:41] on. These are the regime families. So, [10:43] it's not a small thing. This isn't I've [10:45] said this before. Iran is not like Syria [10:47] or Libya or Iraq where you have this [10:50] tiny little family that are dictators [10:52] and if you remove them everyone's free. [10:54] The IRGC, the regime is actually a [10:57] significant population. [11:00] Now, that said, seeing these defections, [11:03] seeing refusal to carry out orders to [11:06] kill people, seeing someone like this, [11:08] this girl who comes from one of the IRGC [11:10] families refute you know, talking about [11:14] the atrocities of her father, we have to [11:16] assume that there's a lot more of this [11:18] going on. It will it will be successful [11:20] in bringing down the regime. Now, let me [11:22] get back to some of the other things [11:24] that we've seen. So, in terms of [11:26] defections, we already saw this video. [11:27] This is about a week old. This is a [11:30] member of the regime army wearing his [11:34] uniform but holding up a picture of [11:35] President Trump and he praises President [11:37] Trump. This is back when Trump was [11:38] saying help was on the way and he's [11:40] going to help the protesters. And more [11:43] on that in a moment. We also have [11:45] members of the protesters and here this [11:48] video is entirely in Persian with no [11:50] English subtitles but I'll just read to [11:51] you what he says. The numbers they have [11:53] told you are lies. They say 12,000 [11:56] people were killed. This is false. They [11:57] have killed more than 30,000 people. And [11:59] then he issues a warning to members of [12:02] the regime forces saying that when this [12:04] is all said and done, we're not going to [12:06] have any mercy on you. And then he [12:07] thanks the people outside Iran for being [12:10] for being their voice. Now, on this [12:12] issue of Trump [12:14] not carrying out his threats. This is a [12:16] very big issue and we're seeing this [12:18] we're seeing more and more stories like [12:19] this. Here's a headline in time. He [12:21] doesn't care about us. Iranian [12:22] protesters say they were betrayed by [12:24] Trump. This is a very serious issue [12:27] because as a result of Trump saying help [12:29] is on the way, as a result of Trump [12:31] saying if they kill protesters, we are [12:33] going to do something, it emboldened the [12:35] protesters with I mean, it's incredible [12:38] courage that they showed but it made [12:39] them less afraid to go further and [12:42] further with the protest believing that [12:44] if they push the regime eventually Trump [12:46] was going to be stepping in. Again, he [12:48] said help is on the way. He talked about [12:50] acting [12:51] so soon that they wouldn't even have [12:53] time for negotiations and then he backed [12:55] off and it's safe to say that many more [12:58] protesters have died as a result of [13:00] President Trump not fulfilling these [13:03] threats than would have died had he not [13:05] made the threats at all. But even with [13:08] President Trump, he hasn't fully backed [13:10] off. He's not done yet. There was an [13:12] interview on NewsNation yesterday with [13:14] Katie Pavlich [13:16] that we're going to take a look at here. [13:18] Let's have a look at what Trump has to [13:20] say. There are reports that they are [13:21] still burning thousands of protesters [13:23] alive. They also issued an assassination [13:25] threat against you over the weekend. I [13:28] know that you can't talk about what's on [13:30] the table but what is your response to [13:32] Iran's leadership and the regime [13:34] continuing to taunt you, threaten you, [13:37] especially given over the weekend you [13:39] said it's time for new leadership in [13:40] Iran. Well, they shouldn't be doing it [13:42] but I've left notification anything ever [13:44] happens [13:45] we're going to blow the help the whole [13:47] country is going to get blown up. So, [13:49] we've you know, originally [13:52] Biden should have said something. You [13:54] know, when they made a statement and we [13:55] all said, why isn't Biden saying [13:57] anything? Because he didn't. But a [13:59] president has to defend a president like [14:02] if I were here and they were making that [14:04] threat to somebody, even not even a [14:06] president but somebody like they did [14:08] with me [14:10] I would absolutely hit them so hard. [14:13] But I have very firm instructions [14:15] anything happens they're going to wipe [14:17] them off the face of this earth. All [14:19] right. So, you know, folks, to be [14:20] perfectly honest, I don't know what to [14:21] make of this new of this new Trump [14:23] threat. If anything happens, I'm going [14:25] to wipe them off the face of the earth. [14:27] Most of of President Trump's statement [14:29] there was about the fact that [14:32] the Iranian regime tried to assassinate [14:35] President Trump and and there's Trump [14:37] calling out Biden for not doing anything [14:39] about it cuz here's a former president [14:42] of the United States and there's a [14:43] threat being made on his life and he's [14:45] saying that Biden should have stepped in [14:47] and done and done something. But Katie [14:48] Pavlich started the question by pointing [14:51] out that they're still burning [14:52] protesters, they're still killing [14:53] protesters and you know, what are you [14:56] going to do? And Trump seems to be [14:58] indicating that if things go sideways, [15:00] he's still going to step in and do [15:01] something. And again, based on what we [15:03] saw last week, it's hard to take the [15:05] threat seriously [15:07] but suffice it to say that the story is [15:09] not over. We're going to be watching [15:11] this as closely as we can. Let's [15:13] remember that information is is coming [15:16] out of Iran really piecemeal. They're [15:18] they've really clamped down on the [15:20] internet and on abilities to [15:21] communicate. But we're going to be [15:23] bringing you whatever updates we can on [15:26] this very tense and changing situation.
