So, in one of my recent [00:03] videos, I mentioned, and I think I've [00:05] said it a few times, that from the [00:07] perspective of uh the the enemies of [00:12] Judaism and the enemies of Christianity, [00:14] whether it's the Muslims or it's the or [00:19] it's the atheist left, they hate Judaism [00:22] and Christianity for the same reasons. [00:23] And from their pers, you know, if we [00:25] look at it from that perspective, our [00:27] disagreement, the dis between Jews and [00:30] Christians is really uh an internal [00:33] disagreement, right? [00:36] And um [00:39] and and basically from the perspective [00:41] of the enemy, we're the same. But we're [00:44] actually not. There's actually a [00:46] difference uh in in uh in the enemy's [00:50] approach to Judaism and Christianity [00:52] that was explained [00:55] incredibly by the great British [00:58] commentator uh and thinker and public [01:01] intellectual [01:03] Melanie Phillips. And I want to watch [01:05] this speech in its entirety and then [01:08] I've got a few things to say about it. [01:09] But it's a remarkable speech. So here it [01:11] is. [01:21] It's a great consolation to know that [01:23] you're all out there fighting the good [01:25] fight. Ladies and gentlemen, a war [01:28] against Europe and the West is underway [01:30] to conquer it for Islam. A war against [01:34] the Jewish world is underway to [01:36] exterminate it. These two things are [01:39] umbilically connected. You can't [01:41] understand the onslaught against the [01:43] Jewish world unless you understand how [01:46] Europe and the West have been attacking [01:49] themselves for so many decades. You [01:52] can't understand the attack by the West [01:54] on itself unless you understand the [01:56] centrality of Judaism to its existence. [02:00] In my view, the West will only save [02:02] itself if it comes to understand that [02:05] Israel and the Jews are the solution to [02:08] its own existential predicament. At [02:10] present, it does not. At present, it [02:13] behaves as if Israel is the problem and [02:15] the Jews are expendable. So, let me [02:18] unpick all this for you. [02:21] The barbaric attack on Israel on October [02:24] 7, 2023 threw down a challenge to the [02:27] West. Would it support civilization or [02:30] barbarism? It has not supported [02:33] civilization. [02:35] After October 7, one might have thought [02:38] the world would have sympathized with [02:40] Israel's defense against an explicitly [02:43] genocidal agenda, a sevenfront war waged [02:47] by Iran and its proxies to wipe Israel [02:50] off the map and kill every Jew. Instead, [02:54] apparently triggered by the single [02:56] biggest attack on Jews since the [02:58] Holocaust, much of the so-called [03:00] civilized world has turned against [03:02] Israel and the Jewish people. [03:04] Anti-semitism is always with us, but [03:06] this has been something different. This [03:09] has been a global attack of [03:12] unprecedented scale against Israel and [03:14] the Jewish world, which has been [03:16] sustained. October the 7th fired a [03:19] starting gun for what the Islamists [03:22] believed and still believe is their [03:24] final victory against first the Jews of [03:27] Israel and then the Christian West. The [03:31] demonstrations that started on western [03:33] streets while the Israelis were still [03:36] being slaughtered on October 7 are not [03:39] protests against Israel. They're not [03:42] protests for the Palestinian Arabs. They [03:45] are instead [03:47] a delirious assertion of Islamic power [03:51] over Western streets. For the past two [03:54] years, hate mobs have chanted with [03:56] impunity for the destruction of Israel, [03:58] the murder of Jews, jihad against the [04:00] West on the streets of Western cities, [04:03] while the police have stood by failing [04:05] to enforce their own laws against [04:08] intimidation and incitement. This has [04:11] reinforced the Islamists exaltant belief [04:14] that they have cowed the West into [04:16] submission and have in and this has [04:19] incentivized ever more open incitement [04:22] to jihad against the West. What we've [04:25] lived through for these past two years [04:27] has been a frenzied campaign to demonize [04:30] and delegitimize Israel with lies. The [04:33] media has been pumping out Hamas [04:35] propaganda as credible even when it is [04:38] patently ridiculous. I mean, Israel's [04:41] alleged genocide is, it would seem, the [04:44] very first genocide in history, where [04:46] the genocideists have provided their [04:49] victims with hundreds of thousands of [04:51] tons of food and moved hundreds of [04:53] thousand of these victims out of harm's [04:56] way. the statistics produced by the [04:59] kamas of the numbers killed during the [05:01] war which have failed to identify among [05:04] these casualties one single combatant [05:08] and claim that every single death was a [05:11] civilian killed by Israel suggests that [05:14] Gaza is the first society on earth to [05:18] have totally abolished natural death. [05:21] This is a truly miraculous achievement. [05:24] Zionism, the self-determination of the [05:26] Jewish people in their ancestral [05:28] homeland, has been redefined as Nazism [05:30] and Zionists as beyond the pale. Israeli [05:34] self-defense against genocide has been [05:36] branded as genocide. Open demonization [05:39] of the Jews with brazen and ancient [05:42] tropes of Jews controlling the world in [05:45] their own interests are now rampant. [05:48] This deranged obsession has been [05:50] normalized in our universities among the [05:53] professions across the culture laundered [05:56] by the entire global humanitarian and [05:59] human rights establishment which has [06:01] weaponized this by lawfare through the [06:04] Hamas sympathizing United Nations and [06:07] its echochamber NOS's like Human Rights [06:10] Watch and Amnesty and the International [06:12] Courts. Amazing. Incredible. If you care [06:16] about the survival of Europe and the [06:18] West, you'd better believe it. It's a [06:20] pathological discourse not applied to [06:24] any other nation, people, or cause on [06:26] Earth. An unholy alliance between [06:29] Islamists, those forces of Islam who [06:33] believe in holy war to Islamize the [06:35] world, and progressives who make common [06:38] cause with them in their hatred of [06:40] Israel and Jews and their hatred of the [06:42] West. The result has been a physical and [06:46] verbal onslaught on Jews in Britain, in [06:48] France, in the Netherlands, and in [06:50] really every Western country where the [06:52] Islam leftist alliance holds cultural [06:56] power. Now, instead of calling all this [06:59] out as an unconscionable war against the [07:02] Jews and upon civilization, Western [07:04] governments have been fueling it. The [07:06] United Kingdom, France, and others have [07:09] parited the lies about famine, [07:11] starvation, disproportionate killing by [07:14] Israel. Governments in Europe, the [07:17] graveyard of the Jewish people over [07:19] centuries, have been recycling the [07:22] genocidal lies of Islamists determined [07:25] to exterminate the Jewish people and [07:27] conquer the West. This matters not just [07:31] because it's an offense against decency [07:33] and humanity. It matters not just [07:36] because Israel is crucial to the West's [07:38] security and military defense. It [07:41] matters because Israel and the Jewish [07:42] people are central to the war against [07:44] the West on a civilizational level. The [07:48] foundational structure of Western [07:50] civilization was of course Christianity, [07:52] but Christianity was founded upon [07:54] Judaism. And it's the Hebrew Bible which [07:57] has been the source of the West's [08:00] conscience, the internalization of right [08:02] and wrong, respect for human life, [08:04] justice and compassion, moral [08:06] responsibility and duty to others. [08:09] Today, these principles have been [08:11] replaced by ideologies all about putting [08:14] the individual first [08:17] after a decadesl long attack on core [08:20] Western values that are rooted in the [08:22] Bible. This has destroyed truth and [08:25] morality. It's replaced truth by power. [08:28] Objective truth was abolished. [08:30] Everything is instead relative, a matter [08:32] of subjective opinion. Feelings and [08:34] emotion have trumped facts and evidence. [08:37] If there's no truth, there can be no [08:39] lies. So lies about Israel are believed [08:41] as truths, and truths are dismissed as [08:44] mere opinions of the partisans of a [08:46] cause deemed illegitimate. Cultural [08:49] relativism means you can't say the west [08:51] is better than any other culture. The [08:53] west was born in the original sins of [08:55] colonialism and exploitation. The [08:57] western nation and its culture are seen [08:59] as a source of division, prejudice and [09:01] war. These have to be replaced by [09:03] universalism representing the [09:05] brotherhood of man. But the west's core [09:08] values are not universal at all. They [09:11] are deeply particular rooted in biblical [09:14] values. This unprecedented onslaught [09:17] against the Jews has occurred because [09:19] the Jews are central to Western [09:21] civilization, a culture against which [09:23] the West's educated classes have [09:25] themselves venomously turned. In other [09:28] words, October the 7th turbocharged the [09:31] West's decadesl long process of cultural [09:34] suicide. [09:36] This vacuum that's has that has been [09:39] achieved has been exploited by the [09:41] Islamists. The Islamists understand very [09:44] well that the Jews are central to the [09:45] West. As they repeatedly say, "First [09:47] we'll destroy the Jews, then the [09:49] Christians." And this program is well [09:51] underway throughout the West, throughout [09:54] Europe, with only a few exceptions in [09:56] Eastern Europe. Europe is losing its [09:58] identity through mass immigration, [10:00] particularly of Muslims who refuse to [10:02] integrate and to expect Western cultures [10:05] to adapt to Islam. incent instead. Many [10:08] Western Muslims are model Western [10:10] citizens, but an enormous and [10:12] unsustainable number are not. The West [10:15] reaction is to ignore this and submit to [10:18] it. It denounces any attempt to call it [10:20] out as Islamophobia. [10:22] Why does the West behave like this? [10:24] First of all, it's fear. The numbers are [10:26] very large. The threats of violence are [10:28] explicit and backed by actual terrorism. [10:31] Second, for decades, the West has told [10:34] itself that it's racist to think people [10:36] from the developing world can do [10:37] anything wrong. The default position of [10:40] the Western liberal is that people from [10:42] the developing world are oppressed by [10:44] the West. They are therefore victims. [10:46] Because they are victims, they can do no [10:48] wrong. While the West being their [10:50] victimizers can do nothing right. And [10:52] Israel is considered one of the [10:54] victimizers. Under this ideology, Jews [10:58] can never be victims because they are [11:00] said to control everything. They control [11:02] finance, they control the law, they [11:04] control the media, they control [11:05] industry. This, of course, is paranoid [11:08] anti-semitism. So at its core, the [11:10] default position of the Western liberal [11:12] is deeply anti-Jew. Ignoring the threat [11:15] to itself, the West therefore blames [11:17] Israel for defending itself against that [11:20] same threat. We've all gone through the [11:22] looking glass. Islamists understand the [11:25] West far better than the West [11:26] understands itself. Islamists understand [11:29] that religion is the moral scaffolding [11:31] of a culture. Without it, that culture [11:34] collapses. [11:35] Now, the key bridge head in this has [11:37] been support for the Palestinian cause, [11:40] the default position for every Western [11:42] progressive and which is treated as [11:44] their badge of conscience. Palestine [11:46] cause is the destruction of Israel. Look [11:49] at their maps, their emblems. Palestine [11:51] is the whole of Israel. That's what they [11:53] want. Listen to what they teach their [11:55] children to hate and murder Jews. Not [11:57] Israelis, Jews. Observe their Nazi style [12:00] demonization of Jews as rats or snakes [12:04] or octopuses, monstrous demonic figures [12:07] said to be secretly controlling the [12:08] world in their own interests. This is [12:11] why many Jews in Britain and the rest [12:13] view the forest of Palestine flags on [12:15] their street as a forest of Nazi flags. [12:18] The Palestine cause in my view has [12:20] corrupted Western discourse and [12:22] thinking. Those who've embraced this [12:24] cause parrot the very same blood liels [12:27] about Israel. The same visceral disgust [12:29] of Jews, the same poisonous fantasies, [12:33] the same recycling of the ancient [12:35] stereotypes of Jewish supremacy, the Jew [12:37] chosen people, the blood liels. And the [12:40] West calls this conscience. This is the [12:44] same inverted thinking that accuses the [12:46] Israeli Jewish victims of genocidal [12:48] assault of being the genocidal [12:49] aggressors. And it claims that the [12:51] Islamists agenda to conquer the West is [12:54] a defense against Islamophobia. [12:56] Palestinianism is the Trojan horse for [12:59] anti-semitism. And anti-semitism is the [13:01] Trojan horse for the attack on Western [13:03] civilization. Anti-semitism isn't about [13:06] the Jews. It says nothing about the [13:08] Jews. What it says is that those who [13:10] hold these views are degenerate [13:13] dehumanizing barbarians. A society of [13:16] degenerate dehumanizing barbarians will [13:19] not survive and doesn't deserve to do [13:21] so. So what's to be done? Plenty is to [13:23] be done. We must all speak out against [13:25] these lies. We must reassert, celebrate, [13:28] promote, and defend the core values of [13:31] the Western nation rooted in the West's [13:33] historic tradition and institutions. We [13:36] must turn the universities back into the [13:38] crucibles of reason rather than what [13:41] they've become, which is engines for the [13:43] destruction of reason. We must restore [13:45] education of the transmission of Western [13:48] culture, prioritize the married family, [13:51] defend the nation's borders, face down [13:54] Islamization, reassert the core value of [13:57] one law for all, curb immigration, [14:00] deport Islamic extremists, and ban [14:03] Sharia law, which recognizes no superior [14:07] secular authority and is therefore [14:09] fundamentally an assault on Western [14:12] liberal democracy. Israel's message to [14:15] the West is that the Western nation [14:17] state is not, as is often said, the [14:20] route to nationalism and fascism. The [14:23] Western nation state is essential to [14:26] defend freedom, democracy, and the core [14:29] values of European and Western society. [14:32] The message that Israel has to the west [14:35] is that is this. That a culture that [14:37] understands and values what it is will [14:40] live. While a culture that despises [14:42] itself and wants to erase its particular [14:45] and historic identity will die. Israel's [14:49] message to the west and it could not be [14:51] more important at this moment in history [14:55] is that in order to survive a culture [14:58] has to choose life. This is a lesson [15:01] that Europe and the West, I'm afraid, [15:04] have yet to learn. Thank you very much. They just don't want [17:53] Jews to govern any part to own any part [17:57] of of this of of these lands. That's [18:01] what's going on here. But the attacks on [18:04] the in the West, the the the [18:06] Palestinianism is about erasing the [18:09] Jews. It is a Trojan horse for [18:11] anti-semitism.
