Transcript [00:00] But there's many out there who they [00:02] don't want to believe that what's right [00:04] in front of their eyes, which is the [00:05] fulfillment of the most impossible [00:07] prophecy and the most repeated prophecy [00:09] in the Bible, that of the survival of [00:12] the nation of Israel and our rebirth in [00:13] our land after a lengthy exile. They [00:16] don't want it to be true, so they lash [00:18] out. I think the rise in anti-semitism [00:20] and the rise in in suddenly where [00:23] replacement theology is part of our [00:25] political discourse. This is all this is [00:28] all understandable. Joining us now from [00:31] Israel is our good friend Rabbi Pesak [00:34] Wiki, executive director of Israel 365 [00:36] Action. Peso, always great to see you, [00:39] my friend. And look, you're on the [00:40] ground in Israel. Of course, you've got [00:41] a foot in the states as well. You're [00:43] here frequently. What is the sense on [00:45] the ground in Israel right now? Are [00:46] Israelis satisfied with what they're [00:49] seeing? The operation Israelis are [00:51] calling it operation roaring lion. Are [00:53] Israelis happy with the results so far? [00:55] And by the way, now that second front is [00:58] very much open to the north as Hezbollah [01:00] is hitting Israel and Israel of course [01:01] is hitting back and hitting back hard. [01:05] Well, Eric, if you go back to the days [01:08] before this operation began, you [01:10] remember there was all this speculation. [01:12] Is President Trump looking for an [01:14] off-ramp? are the attacks ever going to [01:16] come? And remember, it was like every [01:18] day, is today going to be the day? Is [01:19] today going to be the day? So, there's a [01:22] but we've also been living with this for [01:24] 47 years. And there's a strong s. It's a [01:27] very interesting mix of emotions in [01:29] Israel. You know, one of my sons was [01:31] called up to reserve duty today. Another [01:33] one of them is near the Lebanese border. [01:36] There's, you know, everyone is getting [01:37] mobilized in that same way. It is [01:39] wartime. There are air raid sirens. [01:41] Schools are closed. young mothers are [01:43] home with their childrens who can't go [01:45] to school. Uh so there's a lot of [01:47] tension and stress in the air because it [01:49] is wartime. At the same time, there's [01:52] this strange mix of that that set of [01:55] emotions with a sense of relief and even [01:58] happiness that we're finally dealing [02:00] with this threat. If you think back to [02:02] the Ring of Fire that you covered so, [02:05] you know, so diligently over the years [02:08] talking about the, you know, the [02:10] intensity of that threat that was [02:11] growing on Israel's borders, the fact [02:13] that we're now, you know, seeing the [02:16] light at the end of the tunnel with [02:18] and and that things are going well, the [02:21] alliance with the United States with all [02:22] of the speculation about whether there [02:24] were cracks in that relationship, a lot [02:26] of that seemed to be either misdirection [02:28] plays or or or, you know, wishful [02:31] thinking by anti-Israel podcasters, but [02:33] in the end, you know, there's been a [02:35] stunning rebuke to all those who [02:36] questioned that, you know, the closeness [02:38] of that relationship and what we've [02:40] seen. Uh, so there's a sense of relief [02:43] and happiness, a strange kind of [02:45] happiness because there are bombs flying [02:47] and people's lives are being disrupted, [02:50] but there's really a sense of optimism [02:52] and and and resolve that we're finally [02:55] doing what we need to be doing. [02:56] >> Yeah. Unprecedented is the word. Look, [02:58] Israel and the United States operating [03:00] side by side in this operation. Pesak, [03:02] it's really amazing to see and as you [03:04] said, a blow to I'd call them the Tucker [03:06] Carlson wing of these podcasters who are [03:09] very, very anti-Israel. Uh, but that [03:12] obviously is not going so well for them [03:15] as President Trump and BB in my view [03:17] really two modern-day Churchills working [03:19] side by side at this historic moment. [03:23] Hey, in terms of the end of this and [03:25] when things wind down, it may be a few [03:27] days, it may be a few weeks. We don't [03:29] quite know yet. But when the dust [03:30] settles, Peso, where do you think Israel [03:33] will be? Number one, just [03:35] geopolitically, Israel seems to me to be [03:37] to be the sole superpower in the Middle [03:39] East, without a doubt. And what about [03:41] prophetically, biblically, what does [03:43] this mean for the nation of Israel's [03:45] destiny? [03:47] Well, you know, let's start with the [03:50] with the more mundane with the political [03:51] aspect that you just raised about Israel [03:53] rising to be a superpower. And this is [03:55] something this has happened, you know, [03:57] since October 7th, we're so focused on [03:59] the headlines and the next battle and [04:01] the next detail of what happened. And [04:03] amidst all of this, Israel has, like you [04:07] say, emerged as a regional superpower. [04:09] Its enemies have been defeated for the [04:12] most part or weakened greatly. Israel [04:14] has achieved air dominance across the [04:16] Middle East, forged alliances to the [04:18] west with Greece and Cyprus, to the east [04:22] uh with the United Arab Emirates and [04:24] India and and recognizing Somali land [04:27] and really building its own power base [04:29] in the region. Uh and u yeah and and [04:33] along with that, Israel has sold uh more [04:36] than 10 billion dollars of air defenses [04:38] to various countries in the last four [04:40] months alone. So there's really a sense [04:42] of uh you know of of growth in Israel [04:46] amidst this whole war and crisis. The [04:48] Israeli stock market is off the charts. [04:50] Yeah. Israel has really emerged as a [04:52] superpower. And you know to anyone who [04:55] believes in in the in the Bible, the [04:57] most repeated prophecy in the Bible, [04:58] Eric, is that of the return of the [05:00] nation of Israel to the land of Israel [05:02] after a lengthy exile. In the words of [05:04] Deuteronomy, the first time that [05:06] prophecy is spoken clearly to become [05:09] more numerous and more prosperous in the [05:11] land than ever before after being [05:13] scattered to the ends of the heavens [05:15] till the end of days. And the people of [05:17] Israel are are living that out. You [05:19] know, I I feel really bad for those and [05:22] some of those are in wings of the [05:24] Christian world who still believe that [05:25] the Jewish people lost their covenant. [05:27] And then there's those, of course, who [05:28] don't believe in the Bible at all. But [05:30] there's many out there who they don't [05:33] want to believe that what's right in [05:34] front of their eyes, which is the [05:36] fulfillment of the most impossible [05:37] prophecy and the most repeated prophecy [05:39] in the Bible, that of the survival of [05:42] the nation of Israel and our rebirth in [05:44] our land after a lengthy exile. They [05:46] don't want it to be true, so they lash [05:48] out. I think the rise in anti-semitism [05:50] and the rise in in suddenly where [05:53] replacement theology is part of our [05:55] political discourse. This is all this is [05:58] all understandable because that that [06:02] whole way of thinking is crumbling [06:04] because the nation of Israel has [06:06] returned to the world stage as a [06:08] powerful nation fighting the good fight [06:11] defeating evil and you know so you know [06:14] when you the the prophetic and biblical [06:17] has merged with the geopolitical in a [06:19] way that we've never seen before Eric [06:21] and we should be every day we should be [06:23] praying into the words of of the [06:26] scripture I think every Christian and [06:28] Jew should be adding Psalm 83 to our [06:31] daily prayers. It is a psalm about war [06:34] and about how the purpose of war is to [06:36] bring glory to God in the end of days [06:38] and uh and and and that is the words you [06:40] know the original prayer book is the [06:42] book of Psalms and the book of Psalms [06:44] has a prayer for every occasion and [06:46] there's a prayer for an occasion such as [06:48] this and that's Psalm 83. I encourage [06:50] everyone to pray it but yeah Eric we're [06:52] living in amazing times. I I feel on the [06:54] one hand, like I said at the beginning, [06:56] I'm I'm worried about my kids, worried [06:57] about the family, running to the bomb [06:59] shelters. There's a lot of stress. At [07:01] the same time, there's a sense of [07:02] jubilation and inspiration that God is [07:06] on the move and that we're living in [07:07] biblical times. [07:08] >> Yeah, no doubt. And number one, my [07:09] friend, we are praying for your family, [07:11] your kids who are in serving your [07:13] country right now. Number two, I should [07:14] have mentioned this at the top. It's the [07:16] middle of the night in Israel. Thank [07:17] you, my friend, for staying up so late [07:19] and joining us. Hey, only about a minute [07:21] left. miracles. We're seeing them. The [07:24] rebirth of Israel in 1948 was a [07:26] modern-day miracle, but we've seen since [07:28] October 7th a lot of miracles, right, in [07:31] Israel, and we've seen God moving [07:33] tangibly. About a minute left. Pesak, [07:35] last word. [07:37] Well, a miracle is where God breaks the [07:39] rules for his purposes. And the entire [07:42] history of the nation of Israel is God [07:44] breaking the rules for his purposes. And [07:46] you know, Eric, over and over again in [07:47] the Bible, especially in the book of [07:49] Ezekiel, he says that if you keep your [07:51] eye on what's happening with Israel and [07:53] the redemption, and you see that and [07:55] you're willing to see it, and they shall [07:56] know that I am the Lord. This is how we [07:59] know God. The Jewish people are just a [08:01] pawn in God's plan. Our purpose is is to [08:04] be used by God to reveal himself to the [08:07] world. And if we just have eyes to see, [08:09] we'll see that we're living in those [08:10] times that everyone who read the Bible [08:12] for thousands of years dreamed about. We [08:14] are living in that time, Eric. [08:16] >> Yeah, it's an exciting time, my friend. [08:18] Pesak, we're following you on Israel [08:19] 365. Hopefully, I'll see you on this [08:21] side of the pond soon and in Israel next [08:23] month, God willing. Pesak Licki, always [08:25] great to see you, my friend. God bless. [08:27] Keep up the great work from a biblical [08:29] perspective with geopolitics. We love [08:32] that. Pesak, take care. Praying for your [08:33] family, my friend. Get some sleep. Take [08:35] care. God bless you. [08:36] >> All right. God bless, Eric. Yeses.
