Transcript [00:00] Hey everyone, it is Saturday night, [00:02] January 31st, 2026. And there's [00:05] fascinating development that was just [00:07] reported uh regarding the situation in [00:10] Iran. And it I want to unpack it and [00:13] explain what it really means by giving [00:15] some background information. So here's [00:16] the headline. Okay, headline reads that [00:20] um Iran plans to hold joint naval drills [00:24] with China and Russia in the northern [00:27] Indian Ocean region. Now, this seems a [00:29] little out of the out of left field. [00:31] Like, aren't the Iranians in bomb [00:33] shelters and preparing for this imminent [00:35] potentially devastating attack from the [00:37] Americans? What are they doing planning [00:38] some naval drills? So, let's read the [00:40] story. Iran plans to hold joint naval [00:42] exercises with China and Russia in the [00:45] northern Indian Ocean region in [00:47] midFebruary. Oh, yeah. La business as [00:49] usual. soldiers planning some naval [00:51] exercise and we just happened to [00:53] announce it right around the time that [00:54] American military assets are are [00:57] surrounding Iran and getting ready to [00:59] devastate the regime. They just happen [01:00] to be planning uh a naval drill and this [01:02] was reported by Andeloo. Andoo is the [01:05] official state sanctioned Turkish news [01:10] agency. Okay, so this is the Turks who [01:12] are trying to save the Iranian regime [01:14] putting out in the news that there's [01:16] this plan for China and Russia and Iran [01:19] to hold joint naval exercises. The [01:22] semiofficial Tashnim news agency [01:24] semiofficial that's the Iranian news [01:26] agency said the eth edition of the joint [01:28] drills known as the maritime security [01:31] belt will bring together naval units [01:33] from the three countries. Now, now we [01:37] need to have some background information [01:38] here. Let me explain what's going on. [01:41] This is what we call a posturing move. [01:44] Okay. Obviously, in the middle of this [01:47] massive existential crisis to the [01:49] Iranian Islamic regime, announcing that [01:52] they're doing naval exercises with China [01:53] and Russia is a is they are signaling [01:57] they are posturing they are signaling to [01:59] the West and to the Americans and to the [02:01] Israelis that they have powerful allies [02:04] in China and Russia. Okay, let's do a [02:07] little bit of background. [02:08] uh Iran and China signed a 25-year [02:12] cooperation agreement, a strategic [02:16] partnership between the Iranian regime [02:19] and the People's Republic of China. It [02:21] was signed in March 2021 and it covered [02:24] a whole range a whole a whole range of [02:27] uh of cooperation including most notably [02:31] that China buys about 90% of the oil [02:33] that Iran produces. but it also covers [02:36] defense systems and weapons and all [02:39] kinds of things. Okay, so they have this [02:40] strategic cooperation. And then much [02:43] more recently in January of 2025, the [02:46] Iranians and the Russians and the [02:48] Russians signed a strategic in uh uh a [02:52] strategic partnership. And it says right [02:54] here that the treaty aims to expand [02:57] economic cooperation, mitigate the [02:59] impact of US sanctions, and strengthen [03:01] military and political partnerships. [03:04] Okay, so let's think about that for a [03:06] second. The Chinese and the Russians [03:08] both have these strategic partnerships, [03:12] these alliances that they've signed in [03:14] the last couple of years with the [03:16] Iranians. Okay, what's the problem? The [03:20] problem is that if you look back at the [03:22] June war, the the 12-day war with Iran. [03:25] So, I I mentioned in one of my previous [03:27] videos that sometimes what doesn't [03:29] happen is as big a story or bigger than [03:34] what does happen. And the problem with [03:35] things that don't happen is they're [03:37] harder to notice because they didn't [03:39] happen. Uh but they can be just as [03:42] significant. So, one of the most [03:44] significant things that didn't happen, [03:47] one of the most significant effects [03:50] uh or things that were revealed by the [03:52] 12-day war was the weakness of Iran's [03:58] alliance with the Chinese and the [04:00] Russians, right? Because neither the [04:02] Chinese nor the Russians lifted a finger [04:05] to help the Iranians during the 12-day [04:07] war. And if I take you back to all the [04:09] chatter before the 12-day war, there was [04:13] that one of the big like fear-mongering [04:16] talking points that those in the in [04:18] America who were arguing against US [04:21] involvement in the 12-day war. One of [04:24] their biggest talking points was that a [04:26] war with Iran is going to bring in the [04:28] Chinese and it's going to bring in the [04:30] Russians. Tucker Carlson not notably [04:32] said this and so did Kurt Mills from the [04:34] American Conservative. you know, these [04:36] arch anti-Israel isolationists, they [04:39] were saying that the Russians and the [04:41] Chinese have these strategic alliances [04:42] with Iran. Of course, they're going to [04:44] get involved. [04:45] But they didn't. Not only did they not [04:47] lift a finger to help them when the [04:49] Iranians decided to close the Straits of [04:52] Hormuz, which is one of the most [04:54] important shipping lanes in the world, [04:56] and the Iranians were uh control it, and [04:58] they and they wanted to close the [05:01] Straits of Hormuz to shipping during the [05:03] during the 12-day war. It was the [05:07] Americans who asked the Chinese and the [05:10] Chinese obliged. The Chinese then forced [05:14] the Iranians to reopen the Straits of [05:16] Hormuz so as not to disrupt global [05:18] shipping. Meaning they weren't It's not [05:19] only that the Chinese weren't helping [05:21] the Iranians didn't come to their aid to [05:23] defend them despite their strategic [05:25] partnership. They did they even worked [05:27] against them. They forced them to reopen [05:29] the Straits of Hormuz when the Iranians [05:31] wanted it closed. So right now the [05:33] Iranians are playing the same game. [05:35] They're bringing in the Russian they're [05:37] announcing that they're doing joint [05:38] naval drills with the with the Russians [05:40] and Chinese if if the regime still [05:42] exists in midFebruary. [05:45] But it's simply a way of reminding the [05:47] world that they have these powerful [05:48] allies. Okay? And that's why the Turks [05:51] put it out. The Turks are like, you [05:52] know, they're all sitting around going, [05:53] "Look, how are we gonna say how are we [05:55] going to back off the Americans? What? [05:56] Because the last thing the Americans [05:58] want is escalation and another and and [06:00] World War II breaking out, which we're [06:02] probably in the middle of World War II [06:03] already with everything going on in the [06:04] world if you really pay attention. But [06:07] they're trying to scare the Americans [06:08] off by reminding them that that the [06:11] Chinese and the Russians stand behind [06:13] Iran. But they don't. They will not lift [06:15] a finger to help the Iranians, right? [06:18] Even where they're even where they're on [06:20] the ground. What do I mean even where [06:22] they're on the ground? The Assad regime [06:24] in Syria was propped up by the Iranians. [06:26] It was basically an Iranian it it had [06:28] turned into an Iranian protectorate. [06:30] When the Assad regime was being [06:31] threatened and falling, the Russian [06:33] troops on the ground in Syria did not [06:36] lift a finger. Okay? The Russians and [06:38] the Chinese never lift a finger to help [06:41] anybody. They could sign whatever [06:42] strategic alliances uh you know you know [06:45] they want and they're never going to [06:46] honor them. So, this is a posturing move [06:49] by the Iranians, [06:51] uh, you know, to try to remind the world [06:54] about their strength, but it's really [06:56] nothing to be worried about. Okay, [06:59] there's now here's another really [07:01] interesting story that uh, you know, [07:02] that we just saw today. A this is also [07:05] that uh, a US destroyer docks at Israeli [07:09] port of a lot amid regional tensions. [07:12] Okay, so this is saying that the the US [07:14] military destroyer, the USS Delbert D. [07:17] Black has docked at the southern Israeli [07:20] port of a lot on Friday. Now, that's [07:24] interesting because we we talked about [07:26] this in an uh in a in an earlier update [07:29] that that the Delbert Black this this [07:32] naval destroyer, this US naval destroyer [07:34] was on its way to the region. But here's [07:36] the here's the strange thing about this. [07:38] And here I want to explain what the [07:40] Delbert Black docking in a lot actually [07:43] signals, okay? Because it's very [07:45] specific. Let me explain. So first of [07:47] all, the Delbert Black is a guided [07:49] missile destroyer. That's the type of [07:50] ship it is. And a guided missile [07:52] destroyer is primary armament is guided [07:55] missiles so that they can provide [07:58] anti-aircraft [08:00] warfare screening for the fleet. And [08:02] what's more, they also are uh they're [08:07] they're they're used also for missile [08:09] defense. Okay, [08:12] that's their main that's their main [08:13] purpose. You see it says here um guided [08:16] missile destroyers are equipped with [08:17] large missile magazines. Uh some contain [08:20] integrated weapon systems such as the [08:22] United States Aegis combat system and [08:25] may be adopted for use in an [08:27] anti-missile or ballistic missile [08:29] defense role. Okay, [08:33] why is that significant? Well, let me [08:35] explain. Here's a map of the Middle [08:36] East. Okay, so let's zoom in on where a [08:40] lot is. A lot is right here. Okay, this [08:42] is where a lot is. See where my arrow [08:44] is? A lot is right there. Okay, let's [08:47] zoom in on it. Okay, here's a lot. Okay, [08:50] that's a lot. Now, [08:54] the reason this is so interesting is [08:56] that the Delbert Black came from the [08:58] Mediterranean. Okay, that's where it was [09:00] be. That's where it made its journey to [09:02] the region from over the last few days. [09:05] It came down through the Suez Canal, [09:10] okay? And down here into the Red Sea [09:13] region. Now, if it was on its way to [09:15] Iran, [09:18] right, Iran is here. [09:22] If it was on its way to Iran, it would [09:23] have continued all the way down and gone [09:25] around to join all the other military [09:28] assets. the US military assets that are [09:30] amassing in the Arabian Gulf, which is [09:32] right here. Okay, [09:36] that's what it would have done. [09:39] Instead it [09:42] look at what it did. It came down [09:44] through the Suez Canal and then went up [09:46] to a lot. Why did it go up to a lot? Why [09:50] is it docking there? Well, I just showed [09:53] you that the Delbert Black is used for [09:56] anti-aircraft and anti-bballistic [09:58] missile defense. Well, this is [10:01] preparation for potential attacks on [10:04] Israel if the US attacks Iran. Now the [10:08] the Delbert so the Delbert Black is [10:11] going to be here. Yemen where the [10:13] Houthis are who are a major proxy of the [10:17] Iranians who have a history of firing [10:19] ballistic missiles at Israel especially [10:21] when Iran is attacked during the 12-day [10:24] war. The Houthis were the only proxy of [10:27] Iran that actually attacked Israel with [10:29] ballistic missiles in in in retaliation. [10:31] So putting the Delbert plaque in a lot [10:34] is preparation for missile defense [10:38] against ballistic missiles that will be [10:40] fired at Israel in response to attacks [10:43] on Iran. That's what the Delbert Black [10:46] is there for. Okay. So, I wanted to [10:49] explain all that uh to you guys in this [10:52] video and also make mention of the fact [10:54] that another little headline that maybe [10:56] you saw was that there were a couple of [10:58] explosions, [10:59] gas explosions, mysterious gas [11:02] explosions in the Bander Abbas um in [11:05] Bander Abbas in Iran, which is a port [11:07] city, an important port city, an [11:08] important naval port city. Uh the [11:11] Iranians are denying that uh you know [11:13] that there was anyone significant uh uh [11:16] who was killed. There was rumors that a [11:18] a major commander in their navy was [11:20] killed, but they're denying that. Who [11:22] knows what this is actually about. Uh [11:26] but as we see, things are, you know, [11:28] preparations are all being made and [11:29] everyone's getting ready. But I just [11:31] wanted to explain some of the things [11:32] that, you know, that we see here. This [11:34] this naval drills with Russia and China [11:36] and the Delbert Black port, you know, [11:38] porting in a lot. So, just wanted to [11:40] explain what those uh moves are actually [11:43] about. If you're finding these videos [11:45] helpful, please drop a comment and say [11:47] what you like, what you don't like. Give [11:48] me some suggestions.
